With 12 of 12 precincts reporting Tuesday, May 28, Grace Pandithurai has won the Republican Primary runoff for district judge, 443rd Judicial District. She is unopposed in the November general election.
Pandithurai received 3,521 votes to Greg Wilhelm’s 2,056. The vote breakdown is as follows:
- Pandithurai – 109 absentee; 2,103 early voting; 1,309 election day
- Wilhelm – 124 absentee; 1,136 early voting; 796 election day
Voter turnout for the race was 3.94%, with 5,585 total ballots cast out of 141,770 registered voters in Ellis County. Eight undervotes were included in the total.
The 443rd bench is currently held by Cindy Ermatinger, who chose not to seek re-election.
